Our mission.

To bring construction into view through media that shows the work, the people, and the expertise behind it.

Our story

We believe construction deserves to be seen with the same care that goes into the work itself. The story is already there: in the crews, the decisions, and the progress happening every day.

Our mission is to capture it through photography, video, and drone coverage, giving construction teams a clear way to show what they do and who they are.

Based in San Diego, we primarily operate on the West Coast, with travel available throughout the United States.

Bringing the trades into view.

There is skill behind every phase of a project. We want to make that expertise visible, from the coordination on site to the details of the finished work.

Our goal is to create media that helps your company communicate its capabilities, support proposals, and introduce your work to the people you want to reach.

The people behind the project.

A company story is also a people story. Interviews, team profiles, and recruiting films give the people doing the work a voice.

From field crews to project leadership, we help show what it is like to be part of your team and what goes into delivering your projects.

A lasting working relationship.

We want to become a dependable part of how your company documents and shares its work. That can mean a focused production or regular coverage across several projects.

We plan around your goals, site requirements, and schedule, creating content for your website, proposals, recruiting, and company communications. General contractors, developers, specialty trades, and residential builders are all welcome.

Meet the founder.

Shane Van Rickley

I founded SiteLens to help construction companies show their work through photography and film. My goal is to build lasting relationships with the teams behind that work and create media they can keep putting to use.

Your questions, answered.

Media

What photography and video services do you offer?

Jobsite and completed-project photography, drone photo and video, project highlight films, company films, team interviews, recruiting videos, and short-form content. We shape the production around what your team needs to communicate.

How does filming on an active jobsite work?

We agree on the purpose, locations, and shot priorities before the visit, then coordinate access and timing with your site contact. Coverage is planned around active operations and site requirements.

What permissions or site requirements do we need to arrange?

We discuss site access, induction and PPE requirements, filming permissions, and any restrictions on sharing footage before the shoot. For drone coverage, flight feasibility and required authorizations need to be checked for the location.

How often should progress coverage be scheduled?

The right schedule depends on the pace of the project and the milestones you want to capture. We can plan regular visits, milestone coverage, or a combination across several sites.

Can you cover multiple projects and different types of construction?

Yes. We work with general contractors, developers, specialty trades, and residential builders. Coverage can be planned across multiple projects and locations.

What affects the cost and delivery timeline?

Shoot days, locations, travel, production needs, editing, and the final deliverables all affect scope. Share your brief and any deadlines so we can agree on a quote and schedule.

Do you travel outside the West Coast?

Yes. We are based in San Diego and primarily operate on the West Coast, with travel available throughout the United States.

Website

What website services can we discuss?

Website design, development, content integration, hosting, and maintenance. We start with your existing site and goals to define what the project needs.

Will the website work on mobile?

Yes. The layout and navigation should work across phones, tablets, and desktop screens, with content that is easy to read and use at each size.

What about hosting, maintenance, and future updates?

We can discuss hosting and ongoing maintenance, including content updates. The responsibilities and support scope are agreed as part of the website project.

How long does a website take?

Timing depends on the page count, content readiness, functionality, and review process. We agree on a schedule after defining the scope, rather than promise the same turnaround for every site.

Marketing

What marketing support do you focus on?

Construction-focused photography, video, storytelling, websites, and content for LinkedIn and other social channels. We discuss the publishing and ongoing support you need as part of the scope.

How can media support business development?

Project films, completed-work photography, and company stories give your team useful material for proposals, presentations, and conversations with prospective clients.

Can you create recruiting content?

Yes. Team interviews, employee profiles, and company films can show prospective hires your people, projects, and working environment.

Can we build an ongoing content plan?

Yes. We can plan coverage around active projects, milestones, and company stories, with deliverables shaped for the places your team shares them.
